The government has requested a report from the Nepali Embassy in New Delhi about the Akhand Bharat (Undivided India) map case.

Foreign Minister NP Saud informed the House of Representatives International Relations Committee that he has requested the embassy provide a report on the matter.

Lumbini, Kapilvastu, and other parts of Nepal are depicted on the map within the recently built Indian parliament complex.

India has come under fire in Nepal as a result of the publishing of the map, putting pressure on the government to react and take a position against India's activities.

When visiting India, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda received flak for failing to address objections to the contentious map.
